New Plants vs. Zombies shooter “announced”

Looks like Electronic Arts may have a few tricks up their sleeves for fiscal 2020. During their fiscal 3Q 2019 earnings, Blake J. Jorgensen – Electronic Arts Inc. – COO & CFO, broke the news that they are going to launch a new “Plant vs. Zombie shooter” along with a new Need for Speed and Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order.

No other details were given regarding the new PvZ title but based on the fact that Jorgensen called it a shooter it’s nearly guaranteed that it’s Garden Warfare 3. It does seem that they will have more information in May during the next report but that doesn’t necessarily mean a whole lot.

The entire Plants vs. Zombies franchise has been incredibly popular starting as a mobile phone puzzler in 2009 followed by Garden Warfare in 2014 and Garden Warfare 2 in 2016. Garden Warfare 2 was an amazing sequel to the already awesome PvZGW. Will this be a Plants vs. Zombies Garden Warfare title and will it be even bigger and better than the last. Electronic Arts fiscal year ends March 31st, which means 2020 starts April 1st for EA. Let’s hope this isn’t an April fools joke when the year starts…
