Our heroes in a half shell from the sewers of NYC are back at it again with an all-new retro-styled side-scrolling brawler Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Shredder’s Revenge. This retro-style game brings Leonardo, Raphael, Michelangelo, and Donatello back together to defeat Bebop and Rocksteady along with their bosses, Krang and Shredder.
These iconic amphibious ninjas battle through New York City all the way to Dimension X in a 1987 styled pixel art world that plays and looks very similar to fan favorite, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Turtles in Time. Players will battle it out with new abilities through iconic TMNT locations.
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Shredder’s Revenge should be in good hands as it is being developed by Dotemu who is known for a number of ports and remakes of games along with the continuation of Streets of Rage 4; and Tribute Games who is behind games like Panzer Paladin, Flinthood, and a TMNT title for the Game Boy Advance in 2007.
Dotemu nor Tribute Games provided any information on a release date but did announce that Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Shredder’s Revenge will be released on PC along with consoles but did not specify what consoles it will be released on nor when. Also missing from the announcement is how multiplayer will be handled in terms of cross-play, couch coop, or it’ll feature online play. In the meantime check out the announcement trailer below that will have you giddy hearing the iconic anthem sang by Faith No More’s Mike Patton. Also, you can check out the official TMNT Dotemu site.
