Square Enix announced today it will be holding its second Avenger’s War Table digital stream on July 29th, where it will be giving an in-depth look at the upcoming Marvel’s Avengers Beta coming in August.
The fist War Table event, which was held in June, gave an detailed look at the story line and features of the upcoming Marvel’s Avengers game, and included new trailers, discussion on game mechanics and the co-op gaming featured in the title. They also discussed aspects of gameplay around Thor, as well as revealing details on the latest Marvel villian – M.O.D.O.K. (Mental Organism Designed Only for Killing.)
Where the first War Table livestream went into details about the game and story, the second will focus primarily on the Marvel’s Avengers beta program, which launches on August 7th. The beta will roll out first to PlayStation 4 users who have pre-ordered, and followed by beta programs on Xbox One and PC players.
Square Enix official release explains that “the second Marvel’s Avengers War Table will give the most complete look to date at what players can expect from the game’s upcoming beta program.”
Featured will be new videos on the games content, which will be part of the beta, and details from the devs on aspects of the design and creation of the game.
The War Table event will be available at the PlayAvengers.com channel. It will air at 10:00 AM PST (1:00 PM EST) on the morning of July 29th, and those interested in participating in the beta must register for a Square Enix Members account, which is free. Once registered, you will be able to sign up, depending on your platform and pre-order status.
Avengers beta details
For PlayStation 4 users who pre-order the game, the beta program will open first, on August 7th. These players will have through August 14th, when open beta for Play Station 4 begins, running through August 21st.

Marvels Avenger’s is due to be released on September 4th, 2020. It will be available on the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Google Stadia and PC, and will be available in next gen format for launch with the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X, this coming fall. Players who buy before the next-gen console release will also receive a free upgrade to the next gen console version. Additionally, both XBox One/Xbox Series X and PlayStation 4 / 5 games will support next-gen version migration, meaning players will get to port their progress to the new consoles from the old. (Note that there is no cross-platform upgrade or portability.)
