Yesterday we reported that Sony was skipping out of E3 in 2019. It turns out that back in September they reported on PlayStation Blogcast 308 that they won’t be having their PlayStation Experience in the States. The reasoning provided was “…we wouldn’t have enough to bring people all together in North America to have that event. We don’t want to set expectations really high and then not deliver on that. It was a hard decision, but we have determined that this year we will not hold PlayStation Experience.”
It makes perfect sense that this would be the same reason that they pulled out of E3 for 2019. If they have nothing to promote, what’s the point right? This also leads us down the path of what does Sony have in the pipelines. It is possible and would make sense that their new console would be release in 2020 alongside Microsoft’s and could return to E3 with a bang.
