This shouldn’t come as a surprise for anyone but it seems the age of the disc is coming to an end very soon with the success of the online console stores. Now it looks like Microsoft is looking to push that a bit further with the Xbox One S ‘All Digital’ which Winfuture has recently revealed with leaked photos.

Xbox One S ‘All Digital’

No official word from Microsoft as to when this be released but Slashgear is reporting we could hear something as soon as April 16th. The European model is set to include Minecraft, Forza Horizon 3, and Sea of Thieves pre-installed and have 1TB of space. The US model could come with different games and a different configuration but I’d bet this is what we’ll see in the States.

Microsoft is no stranger to success with digital media with the Xbox Game Pass subscription service, which allows users to download hundreds of games for a small monthly fee.

A digital only console could also spell the end of the used game market as there is no way to ‘trade-in’ games. Downloaded games are tied to your account which also means reselling a ‘loaded’ machine would have no effect on the resale of a console.
