Larry Hyrb aka Major Nelson announced via the Major Nelson Blog that the rumored Xbox One S All-Digital Edition will be available through the Microsoft Store,, as well as select retails Walmart, Best Buy and Amazon on May 7th.

As we mentioned the other day, the Xbox One S All-Digital Edition will launch with Minecraft, Sea of Thieves, and Forza Horizon 3 already installed. The unit will have a 1TB drive and come packed with the same hardware as the current models out there sans the optic drive. At launch the unit will cost $250USD which is said to be $50 cheaper than its drive equipped brother. Major Nelson went on to say that they “expect to maintain at least that price difference between the two consoles going forward.”

If you’re in the market to buy an Xbox One for the first time or don’t have many physical copies this is for you. If you’re an old time Xbox One owner with a large physical library this may not be unless you’re looking to sell them. In any event the Xbox One S All-Digital Edition is available now for pre-order.
