Microsoft posted a 14-minute long gameplay trailer for the upcoming psychological horror game, The Medium, from Bloober Team that is due out later this month. The Medium gameplay trailer shows how the player plays through the gameplay in a split-screen setting with the player interacting with objects in their environment in one half of the screen, with the player interacting with the experiences that they are having with their paranormal encounters in the other. The gameplay trailer gives the viewer the sense of what the main protagonist sees, as well as what the casual observer of the scene would see – the player playing the “Medium” who looks to be talking to themselves, etc.
From The Medium gameplay trailer, The Medium has some fantastic visuals with a heavily dark, shadowed and muted palate of almost monochromatic color schemes for the “real world” view, as well as a more earth-toned and warm toned colors in the “spirit” world.
