Fable is coming to the Xbox Series X

Surprising to some, Fable is coming to the Xbox Series X as announced at the Xbox Games Showcase today. Not a a whole lot of information regarding the next release of Fable but we do know that it’s currently in development by Xbox Games Studio, Playground Games. Playground Games, of course, is the developer behind Forza 4 Horizon. This comes as great news given the fact that the original developer, Lionhead Studios, closed in 2016 cancelling Fable Legends.

There wasn’t a whole lot of information released other than a quick announcement trailer, that we’ve attached below. While this is the first mainstream storyline Fable title since 2010, not counting Fable: The Journey and Fable Fortune, we don’t know if this is a sequel or a reboot of the series. Wildly accepted as Fable 4, this is rumored to be an open world title that will give Xbox a much needed cinematic sandbox story. In either case, this is a much welcomed title to Xbox Game Pass and to the Xbox Series X and to PC.

There was also no indication as to when Fable is coming to the Xbox Series X so stay tuned for more information. Check out the world premiere trailer below.
