Grounded Tops Steam Sales Charts

Reading Time: 2 minutes

Obisidian’s Grounded has reached the top of the sales chart on Steam just after 2 days since release. This popular survival game was released as a Game Preview on Xbox Game Pass for Xbox One/PC and on Steam on July 28th and the internet has been all a buzz about it.

Both Grounded and Destroy All Humans! were released the same day with Destroy All Humans! settling in at the number 2 spot. Grounded leaped over such popular games like Red Dead Redemption II, Halo: The Master Chief Collection, the pre-order for Microsoft Flight Simulator, and even Sea of Thieves!

Grounded Tops Steam's Charts

Interestingly enough, this Xbox Games Studio title has not made the top of the Xbox Game Pass list yet. It’s possible that the Game Pass list doesn’t update regularly like Steam’s.

If you’re not familiar, Grounded is a backyard survival game where you are shrunken down to the size of an ant, think Honey I Shrunk the Kids. There you need to gather, craft, explore, build, and fight in this incredibly detailed and dangerous backyard. Grounded supports single-player play and online co-op for up to 4 players. Cross-platform play is not yet available.

Check out our Grounded: First Impressions article from yesterday as our team gives it a first look. We will also be streaming live tonight on our SuperCo-OpBros Twitch.TV (LIVE NOW) channel later tonight.

Grounded is included with Xbox Game Pass and Xbox Game Pass for PC, and is available for purchase through Xbox Game Preview, the Microsoft Store, and Steam Early Access for $29.99!
